Some Things You Need to Know
Local medical facilities are extremely good, and EU citizens are entitled to full and immediate care if carrying a valid EHIC card. However, you may be required to pay some medical charges at the point of delivery before reclaiming them from the Department of Work and Pensions in Newcastle. Depending on your exact circumstances, part of the cost may not be recoverable, and we advise you to insure against this possibility.
Our accommodation has been fully modernised and creatively renovated from old farm buildings. Unfortunately this means that we cannot provide wheel-chair access, and you will need to be able to climb stairs (one floor only), and walk up a moderate slope from the pool back to the house. Two of the bathrooms have walk-in showers – please let us know when booking if you require one of these rather than a bath.
Please bring your swimming costume – you are likely to need it. Our pool is solar-heated and usually swimmable from April well into October. But obviously we can’t completely guarantee the weather, so some lightweight waterproofs would also be a good idea. You will definitely be warm enough inside the gîte, with underfloor heating individually controllable in each room.
We have free WiFi, bicycles, a large trampoline, English and French TV, a big play-room, and a library of books, games and DVDs. You won’t get bored. Oh, and a free, fully equipped laundry room, if you really need it!
Please read our standard Terms and Conditions for self-catering rentals, which will also apply to you.
