Dear Chris and Susie, It was a real pleasure to spend these two weeks in your charming cottage and in the "forgotten France" we didn't know before this stay, and we have found time to really appreciate all the pleasures of the area (nice swimming pool, breakfast, garden gnomes, DVDs and books, the two mutton sheeps!). But first of all, thanks a lot for your kindness and hospitality, we really felt at home and in good hands! We had a really good time with our ;ittle girls and now Juliette starts to speak English.

Sad to be leaving, we have had the most wonderful time here, such a beautiful place to explore. And a very big thank you to Chris and Susie for making us feel so welcome.

What can I say Susie and Chris?! The art holiday with you and our lovely tutor Mo was one of the best holidays I have ever had. The countryside and locations you took us to were wonderful. Your kindness and hospitality was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation, food, wine and cheeses presented by M Le Fromage was excellent - as was the humour! Thank you so much - I will be back! xx

Dear Chris and Susie, Very many thanks for a wonderful painting week in forgotten France. It was a great pleasure staying in Les Marroniers -- a beautiful location and such caring and lavish hospitality. All the meals were delicious and the many good French wines were much appreciated. I have never experienced a cheese course with so much variety, night after night, with the added bonus of a highly entertaining history of each cheese ! All the painting venues were fantastic and it was lovely having the chance to explore medieval villages, churches, and the beautiful surrounding countryside Great to have such nice picnics on location too !. Mo was a vivacious , enthusiastic and inspiring tutor. It was one of the best painting holidays I have been on ( and at my age I been on quite a few !! ) I hope you are enjoying the visit of your daughter and grand daughter and having good weather.-it's cloudy and cool here today. My thanks again, Yours , Anne.

name: Terry comments: Thank you Chris and Susie for being such incredible hosts and making my time so enjoyable. I was on the fully catered photo course with Jeff and the places we visited around the Gite were so unforgettable! The Gite and food were superb, especially the cheeses :-) \"Forgotten France\"? As far as I was concerned it was certainly unforgettable! Terry

Oh thank you so much Chris and Susie for our second week in Gite 3 this year. The weather (which I understand you cannot control) was a little changeable but at no point did we want for something to do. The whole of the Gite and surrounding grounds are just a dream and so relaxing. We do hope to return again in the not too distant future. Thank you again both Janet, Edwin, Maureen and Steve

Dear Chris & Susie, Just a quick note to say thank you very much for such a splendidly equipped Gite – we all had a fantastic time, and your attention to detail around the site is a real credit to you both. The bakery deliveries, ‘treasure’ hunt, trampoline, pool, niceties throughout the property etc etc etc were all very much appreciated, and went to make the stay feel special. Regards, Mike & Marie

This was the best equipped gite we have ever stayed in, clean and well maintained. Chris and Susie were excellent hosts and we all had a fantastic time, not wanting to come home. The area of France was great - real rural France. We would (and have) recommend this gite to friends. We mainly stayed at the gite enjoying the pool, but had a couple of trips to Argenton-Sur-Creuse and ate lunch overlooking the square. We also had a canoe trip on Lac Chambon and many cycle rides in the early mornings when it was cooler. Chateauroux was also interesting and has the big superstores should you be Decathlon addicts! The area is great for cycling - with easier and also more challenging rides along quiet roads simple to plan from the gite. The roads towards the rivers Creuse and Sedelle and down to Lac Chambon are steeper and suitable for the more experienced cyclists, but those to the west of the gite are perfect for the less experienced.

Chris & Susie, Hope your trip went well. We had no problems getting back , except for what seems to be 'normal' Eurotunnel delays. We really enjoyed the holiday; the gite / area have a great mixture of relaxation and activities. So hope to book again sometime. (One maintenance item is the wc door needs a bit of planing - it was a bit sticky) Thank you very much, Regards, Ged & Pam & Rachael
